Dance Researches NRWDEADLINE:
The NRW KULTURsekretariat offers a total of four funded residences lasting several weeks for topic-related, production-independent research in the period January to December 2020.
Three scholarships are aimed at dance artists from abroad for a research stay in one of the 21 member cities of the NRWKS. The focus is on cultural, political, social or scientific aspects. NRW as a state of cities offers numerous and varied opportunities for this.
Dance artists from abroad can apply if they wish to do research in NRW. The focus should be on cultural, political, social or scientific aspects.
North Rhine-Westphalia as a state of cities offers numerous and varied opportunities for this. Research on “NRW-typical” topics such as industrial culture, structural shift or mining industry would be a good option. However, some of the member cities’ numerous highlights, e.g. exhibitions in museums, could also be an occasion for a working stay.
Dance artists may freely choose a topic in their application, irrespective of the above examples, which must be substantially related to NRW.
Selected applicants receive up to 6,000 euros depending on the type and scope of the research, as well as personal support, moderation and mediation with institutions and experts.
