Call for papers: "I’m a Little Alien"DEADLINE:
The international journal Arts Management Quarterly is dedicated to a visionary, cutting-edge cultural sector that is open for new theoretical and practical approaches, especially from the non-western world. The Spring issue 2020, to be published in March, will shed light on "Arts Managers Working in a Different Cultural Region”.
As studies show, although many cultural managers work with international colleagues, only few spend a long time abroad - or even in a different cultural environment. These are the people the publishers would like to introduce with this issue. The idea is to point out the advantages and enrichments, but also the difficulties of an international activity in arts management.
Arts management practitioners, researchers and students as well as arts educators working in cultural organisations, political contexts, universities, associations and so on. Authors coming from any geographic background.
Articles are expected to give personal (but not necessarily private) insights into your experiences abroad, but to also reflect on the question how these experiences have shaped your understanding of arts management in a globalized world and your work back home (if you are working in your home country again).
Publication in the Spring issue 2020 of Arts Management Quarterly, to be published in March.
Please submit an abstract for your proposed article (no more than 400 words) as well as a short bionote by January 19th to email@example.com. The editorial board will review all submitted abstracts and let the authors know about the publication decisions by January 31st.
The final contribution with a length of up to 1.500 words should be submitted by March 1st.
